Phase Help Center

How can we help?

Straightforward answers for purchases, backups, audio cues, and your data.

Purchases

Access & billing

How do I restore Phase Unlock?

Open Profile, then tap Restore Purchases. Use the same Apple ID that made the original purchase.

Phase Unlock is a one-time, non-consumable purchase. There is no subscription or automatic renewal.

Does my purchase move with a backup?

No. A backup carries your workouts and settings, while Phase Unlock stays with your Apple ID. On a new phone, import your backup and use Restore Purchases separately.

What does Phase Unlock include?

Phase Unlock removes the workout limit and unlocks every workout and Journey included in Phase when you buy it. We may add updates and features at no extra charge, but separately offered products or services may require another purchase. Features already included with your purchase will not be converted into a subscription.

Backups

Your training data

How do I move my data to a new phone?
  1. On the old phone, open Profile → Export data and save the Phase backup somewhere you can reach from the new phone.
  2. On the new phone, open Profile → Import data and select that file.
  3. Use Restore Purchases separately for Phase Unlock.

The backup restores favorites, history, statistics, settings, collections, and Journey progress.

Does importing merge with existing data?

No. Import replaces the matching sections on the phone with the contents of the backup. Phase asks for confirmation before anything is overwritten.

Audio

Cues & background play

Why can’t I hear workout cues?

Turn up the device’s media volume, then check the cue-volume setting under Profile → Sound & cues.

Phase uses media volume rather than ringer volume, so cues can still play when the iPhone’s silent switch is on.

Will cues play while my phone is locked?

Yes. During an active workout, Phase keeps its audio session open so countdown and phase cues can continue in the background or while the phone is locked.

If iOS fully closes Phase to reclaim memory, the audio cues stop. Reopening the app restores the timer from elapsed time.

Privacy

Accounts & deletion

Do I need an account?

No. Phase has no account or workout-syncing server. Workout data and preferences stay on the device unless you choose to export a backup.

How do I delete my data?

Delete individual workouts from History. Uninstalling Phase removes its local app data.

Exported backup files remain wherever you saved them and must be deleted from that location separately.
